ACHIEVEMENTS through the Housing Strategy 2008-2011 include the following:
15,500 households transferred from Plymouth City Council to Plymouth Community Homes, a housing association.
£253million of Government investment in decent homes and major regeneration through and with Plymouth Community Homes.
993 new affordable homes.
£100million investment from the Homes and Communities Agency and match funding from housing provider partners delivered 1,000 affordable homes.
383 obsolete homes demolished and replaced in Devonport.
140 more units of extra care housing across five city-wide schemes.
433 Category 1 housing hazards removed.
466 homes adapted through Disabled Facilities Grants.
286 statutorily homeless people in 2010/11, down from 2002/03 level of 1,391.
525 single homeless people and rough sleepers accommodated in The SHIP and The Gates.
