Central and West Plymouth
Open 52 weeks a year including Bank Holidays
I started slimming world at the beginning of Dec, a friend of mine was meant to come with me but had to cancel, I decided I should still go as I wanted to loose the weight. I couldn't blame it on baby weight now my youngest was 8 months. I could have waited until after Christmas but I know if I kept putting it off I would never go. No time like the present and all that. I was so nervous walking into my first meeting but was immediately made to feel at ease and everyone was so friendly. Helen put me at ease straight away. Standing on the scales wasn't as bad as I'd thought it would be, nobody made any comments about my weight or made me feel bad and I actually felt/feel like that will be the last time I see that weight again. As I said, I have only been doing slimming world since December but have lost more than a stone, even with Christmas and New Year indulgences. This is the only diet I've been on where I can literally eat as much as I want/need and still lose weight. For me its just the perfect diet, none of this counting point and calories rubbish that would be too difficult with 2 young children. And the best part of it is that its inclusive for the whole family! So glad I took a step out of my comfort zone and took the first step, 2012 is going to be my year with the help of Helen, the group and the resources of slimming world. Bring it on!

Six months ago I was very sceptical if a slimming group and being told what to eat was for me. I am happy to be proved wrong sometimes and this is one of them. I can eat absolutely anything I chose to, just some things require a little more thought. Portion control, calorie counting and weighing every morsel are not the Slimming World way; eating healthily whenever you want to is.
I am now three and a half stones lighter and loving the way my body has emerged from under all that unwanted fat. If you want to loose weight, can follow simple guidelines and want regular positive encouragement then I cannot reccomend Slimming World highly enough.
