CRIME.
Crime figures for the period 20th November 27th November are down from 9 crimes reported last year to 6 this year.
These include: -
Three assaults; one burglary; one arson and one driving with excess alcohol.
The arson occurred at a flat in Granby Street on the evening of Sat. 22 November, when the outside of a UPVC double glazed window was set on fire.

Anti-social behaviour incidents recorded in the same period in 2008 were 12 compared with 11 for this year.
Other news / events.
This week was the last with the New Deals team for PCSO Phil Strong who leaves to join the Force as a Police Constable. Phil has been involved with PARC and Pubwatch and will be known to many of you.
He was responsible for the launch of the COPSTEXT4U scheme, model racing car events and others……….we wish him well in his new career.
Op. Pedlar (Police and partners engagement day) was held in Devonport Park on Sat. 21st November, the weather was disappointing and unfortunately the police helicopter had to be cancelled. However other units including the diving unit with boat, police dog, police traffic car and motorbike; Devon and Somerset Fire & Rescue and South West Water were there and it was well attended considering the conditions.

OTHER
The Bobbies on the Beat steering group met on Weds. 18th November and set the following priorities for the team for the following 6 weeks: -
Drug dealing and use.High profile policing to combat anti-social behaviour,
with emphasis on Mount Wise youth.
Violence offences.
The next meeting of the Bobbies on the Beat Steering Group is on Wednesday 30th December at 5.00pm at Brickfields Sports Centre, Devonport.
